The standard has been advanced by ARINC and the aerospace community where high performance is mission critical. Its adoption by major aerospace and military programs since 2006 has established it as the proven, de facto standard for such systems, which include infrared and other wavelength sensors, optical cameras, radar, flight recorders, map/chart displays, synthetic vision, image fusion systems, head-up displays, head-down multifunction displays including large area displays, and video concentrators.

  • Velocity Dual Channel is a new generation of high bandwidth multi-channel frame grabber that capture from 2 video sources simultaneously.
  • This card adds the power of the PCIe Gen3 x8 interface coupled with 2 high-speed DDR3 memory banks and 2 ARINC 818 receiver channels.
  • The ARINC 818 video streams can be completely asynchronous of each other but must be the same ICD. Both ARINC 818 streams can be captured simultaneously to a host computer memory via PCIe DMA transfers. If desired, the user can select one of the ARINC 818 streams to be routed to DVI TX.
  • The ARINC 818 TX can be set to either transmit a test pattern or echo out the individual ARINC 818 receiver channels.

ARINC 818 Video Protocol Analyzer

The ARINC 818 protocol analyzer is an essential key for the development of an ARINC 818 system. It checks the compatibility of the design according to the ARINC 818 standard. The VPA software application decodes and displays ARINC 818 data as well as errors. The VPA analyzes in detail the timing of the video stream and validates ADVB headers and containers. The VPA has a trigger function, a function for reading raw data, searching for data, automatic error checking.
